Unlike the Ruby Weapons, there were image sprites added. In the Changelog, it is claimed that Emerald Weapons heal on hit, similar to the effect of Dark Knight and Blood Wings. They are unobtainable, and a joke by the developer, just like the Goldfish and the changelog joke of the Ruby and Diamond Weapons, which were actually added later. Emerald Weapons are the fifth set of Weapons in the game.
